first test dives for the camera enclosure!

preliminary empty-housing test dive to ~30 feet or so went great!

so, having success there, we went about attaching the camera to the acrylic window, wiring up the camera and battery, and doing some dry-land video testing:

then we have to find a good cheap video capture device for a laptop, so A: we can capture video, and B: we don't have to lug that 80s tv around

ROV cable entry

got the cable entry put together, we'll have to see how well it holds up. I glued the inboard end of the union to the existing housing, and filled the outboard end with epoxy around the cable:













one of the nice things about this setup is that if we want to repair or replace the cable, we just need to make a new epoxy-filled outboard union end. So we can easily upgrade cables later.
